It can be action rpg, jrpg, well just any form of rpg that is on the 360.

I think eternal sonata takes the cake for this one, followed closely by oblivion
although i have to say the new Arcania looks pretty good
My favorite JRPG so far is Lost Odyssey. My favorite western RPG so far is Fallout.

What he said.
So far Fallout 3. But I've only played an hour of Mass Effect and ToV hits stores near me in 2 weeks, so maybe my answer would change.

You should finish Mass Effect if you have it, the closer you get to finishing it, the better the story becomes. :D
Since i am not an RPG fan im limited but i enjoyed fable 2 it was pretty good so i guess that.TR800I was wondering this question as well as I want to purchase a few rpg's to add to my collection.... Thank you all for your input, but if some of you can explain why you think it's the best, that would help greatly. Also, what's the difference between a western rpg and a japanese rpg?? Thanks in advance!!
Oblivion has to be the first and the best; and then Fallout is a close 2nd in the RPG genre. I have to say the third slot is tied by Mass Effect and Fable II.
Depends on what kind you like
Sci fi: Mass Effect
Mythical: Oblivion
Ultra Violent: Fallout 3
Japanese..........havnt really liked any of the ones for 360 too much......Blue Dragon or Eternal Sonata I guess
Its a tough decision but if i could only play one it would be Mass Effect i think, It was a bit more immersive for me than the others
This one's a tough call, but I'm going to have to go with The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion over both Fallout 3 and Mass Effect. I think what it really comes down to for me is that the world of Oblivion is just beautiful. You can really lose yourself in it. I mean you're walking along and find yourself in the middle of a field next to a forest and you're just like wow this just looks fantastic. I know, I know, it's all about "teh gameplay," but when choosing between these three games, for me, it comes down to Oblivion's environment. Mass Effect has by far the best story of the three, but that pointless driving around of the Mako on barren planet after barren planet just to go through a button pressing exercise to open the 100th crashed space probe gets to be just too much sometimes. And Fallout 3, well, I've played the hell out of Fallout 3, maybe a bit too much, so I'm a little tired of it now. Fallout 3 has it's own beauty of sorts, but compared to Oblivion, that DC wasteland environment just gets you down sometimes. Plus, between Oblivion and Fallout 3, I think I prefer Oblivion's gameplay. Spells, archery, and hack and slash combat verse guns, I guess I just think the former is a little more interesting, though I think playing an Elder Scrolls game with a V.A.T.S. like system could be very interesting.
Fallout 3, Oblivion, Tales of vesperia, Lost odyssey, Infinite undiscovery, Last remnant, Star ocean: Last hope, Sacred 2, Final fantasy XIII, Witcher: Rise of the white wolf, Fable 2, Mass effect, Dark Messiah of might & magic: Elements, Eternal sonata, Phantasy star universe, Enchanted arms, Blue dragon...
