So what is the best videogame magazine that is currently available to get a subscription to. I just need some advice before I get one.
Please atleast post about a magazine, and do not tell me not to get any of them because they are not worth it.

Someone else recently posted that EGM is on its way back. Whether or not it will be a good read, I do not know. I know I'll at least check it out when its finally available. As for others, last time I was at a bookstore I saw a view names of game magazines I did not recognize--most were not published in the US I believe--but one in particular that grabbed my attention was Gamefan, which existed awhile back and is edited by Dave Halverson, who has been in the industry for quite awhile. It has a different look physically. It more resembles the older Rolling Stones magazine size than that of typical magazines. It is also split, i'd say 70/30--games to movies--the back cover says "MovieFan."

I'm sorry, but I just have to say that I think Game Informer is a terrible read. I also think the only reason people mention it is because it really is the only multi console widespread videogame magazine, plus the gamestop connection. EVEN Gamepro is a better magazine than Gameinformer.

or maybe we like it. Ive never liked gamepro. They have always been bad to me and the official mags have always suked too.

Gamepro has gotten better. I don't care for it either, but my biggest problem with gamefan is that it reads like it was written by a 14 year old. Or it could be that most of the really good game magazines have died.

Sadly, Gameinformer. I wish Giantbomb would make a magazine.

I traded in some games at Game Stop last year and got a free year subscription to Gameinformer. I love it. I look forward to it every month and sit down and read basically the entire thing. Thats impressive for me since I've never been a big magazine guy. I just got a card saying my subscription is up next month so I'm gonna renew for cheap. I have to say that I've never really looked at any others but I dont think you would be dissipointed with Gameinformer. Check out their website first maybe and see what you think. Hope you enjoy. And now that I'm thinking about it, I'm gonna renew my subscription.

I used to like EGM, but now I read Game Informer. I'm waiting for my copy of the latest issue to come in the mail.

I like Game Informer too. I will have to check out the EGM when it comes out.
