Halo 3 is still the best game and one of the few reasons to even own a 360. I also like the Gears of War series although the first one was overrated and incredibly short.
I'd say the most popular is probably Gears Of War 2 & Halo 3, but if you are asking for my opinion on which is best - I say either Gears Of War (The original) or Call Of Duty 4.

Huh. Really? ... I disagree. Halo 3 isn't all that great to be honest, and Gears Of War was amazing. I have a PS3 and to tell you the truth, I don't see why people compare them... because they are COMPLETELY different.
I wasn't actually comparing the 360 to the PS3. I have a 360, PS3, Wii, PSP, and DS and out of those systems I have the least amount for the 360. The only games I have for it are the Halo series and the Gears of War series. I don't see any other exclusives that are worth owning the 360 for.
Halo 3 is definitely the "biggest," with Gears coming in a solid 2nd. Whether it is the best game, thart is debatable. It is certainly worthy of a purchase if you play online, as it is the most extensive online experience on the system.
