What is the biggest Letdown of the videogame industry so far this year?

I was pretty upset to learn Dante's Inferno isn't coming out this year, the RRoD is still a problem, and there was no announcement for a new Elder Scrolls title. I guess I was shooting for the stars this year. At least BioShock 2is comin' out!

No I am Alive at E3 I really wanted to see that game, it has such an interesting concept. Especially since its suppose to come out Q1 next year, not too many places to show it before then. Sepewrath

It's ironic isn't it? You have people going around saying games are getting too simplified for the casuals but then they turn around and bash a game that does the opposite.

Yeah, I cant wait! You can understand why it's a huge disappointment not to even hear anything about it.

Nintedo's upcoming library (only a few noteworthy titles), the direction nintendo is going as far as gamers go (forget the housewives and the old people, make some games for the gamers that supported nintendo all these years and got you this far) and RROD. Its been 3 years and it still isnt fixed (one of the reasons i wont buy a 360, that and paying for xbox live).

The biggest disapointment for me is they didn't announce cerial killer as one of the jobs for the sims 3. I really want to do that. It would spice up the game, you would have to dodge the cops and stuff.

Unless I just missed it, no info on half-life 2: episode 3

I'm pretty disappointed as well that so many games are being pushed to 2010 even though they had gameplay demos and things like thatwhich seemed pretty complete to me. To tie into that, I think a major disappointment is that handhelds are coming out with more games THIS YEAR that I'm excited about than the consoles.

Oh I see lol...It still bothers me that L4D gamers still complain about the FREE DLC they got and how it was an outrage, blah, blah, blah.

No info or footage on Ghost Recon 4. After sitting through Ubisoft's crappy E3 confrence which was a waste of time, I deserve at least a teaser of Ghost Recon dammit.YoungSinatra25

Felt exactly the same way, Ubisoft's conference was crap, only watched it all expecting atleast a Ghost Recon teaser in the end, I do hope they leave the whole Advanced Warfighter and go back to the old style.

Not only do it absolutely agree with you, I really don;t like the Advanced Warfighter style they used on their recent games. All of you guys have made good point outs here. It's a shame L4D 2 is making ppl angry instead of rejoice, but some DLC would've been nice.

Mafia II got delayed until 2010.

Well we really haven't had any luck with console JRPGs lately. There was Star Ocean 4 back in March but thats really it.

On the plus side, fighting games have hit some sort of major growth spurt, kicking off with SF4 and Tekken 6, King of Fighters XII, BlazBlue, and Marvel VS Capcom 2 coming out soon.
