Helloo, what are the chances of an xbox dying and is there anything i can do to prevent this. I read on YouTube that if you keep it horizontal and keep the power away from the console. Is this true?? Thanks

With the Falcon chip, I believe the failuer rate is now down to somewhere around 15%, at least from where I've heard (Still pretty high for a console). Old ones have it at about 33-40%, and I don't know about Jasper.

Falcon chip doesn't make much of a difference. In my experience Xboxs die when they're around 1.5 years old. Normal usage.

It has absolutely nothing to do with the position of the xbox.

The way its manufactured is the only factor.

Don't be under the impression that if you buy a 360 it's gonna red ring. I've never personally seen it happen to anyone and I know alot of people who have an xbox. I've had mine for almost 2 years and it works fine. I expect it to last a long time.

I know what you mean though, I was really paranoid about rrod when I decided to buy one.
