I would say Super Mario 64 because I could never get all 120 stars but I did manage somehow beat the third bowser which took forever. I would get naybe around like 112 but that was around the highest I could get.
Tie between Ninja Gaiden on hardest and CoD3 on hardest. Ninja Gaiden is just down right hard. CoD3 is just down right cheap. The nazis can shoot through walls and everything.
Chakan the Foreverman for Sega Genesis...that game was so hard. I do not believe anyone could beat it without cheat codes. Their was a level near the end where you had to jump from platform to platform over a river of lava...the only catch was randomly the platforms where actually illusions and you would fall right through and die. It was the most frustrating game ever, IMO.
You can say that again, I am finally at the Hard and Fast mission......so nasty (and I have to redo One Shot, One Kill cause I put slow-mow on and didn't get the achievement) :(
A really old and relatively unheard game called the Immortal, definately one of the hardest games I've ever played. Has anyone else heard of or played this game?
Man, I thought COD4 on Veteran difficulty was the easiest thing ever. Don't mean to pick on you or anything, but it seemed to me MUCH MUCH easier than COD2 on Veteran, and even COD2 on Veteran wasn't that hard either. Well, it was hard yes, but not the hardest. I would have to say either Super Mario 64 or Zelda Ocorina Of Time, or what ever it is called. The first 64 Zelda. Zelda was harder to beat, but Mario was the hardest to perfect, in a sense, and get the hidden Yoshi.........

Games that are hard by default, without an easier mode, are almost always more trouble then they are worth. Milon's and Ninja Gaiden STILL piss me off, just thinking about them.
^^ wait until you have to escape from your sniping mission before you make a call on CoD4
The hardest games I've ever played where I actually still had fun would have to be CoD2 (veteran of course) and GH2 on expert. I'll get back to you guys in a week or so on CoD4.

That's insane. Yeah and F-Zero GX is really hard. I remember unlocking every secret character in the game, spending days at a time trying to beat every level on the hardest setting. Only to have my little brother erase my entire GameCube memory card shortly after.
