There's no way you should back out of getting Dead Space because of that... it's a fantastic game, there's actually not many scenarios where it's pitch black.
do you have any source of light at all besides that one gun i think its called the plasmea cutter...........and do any weapons have unlimited ammo or can you get unlimited ammo like RE5 and RSV2
I'm not 100% on this, but I'm pretty sure there's a flashlight type apparatus on the end of all the weapons, and no there isn't unlimited ammo, but there's actually a plentiful amount of ammo to be found, especially for the Plasma Cutter. You can always buy ammo for a relatively low cost.
No unlimited ammo, but you get a bunch of upgrades and most areas arn't that dark to the point where you need to pull out the plasma cutter to see. It's not dark like Doom 3 Dark. In some case it's actually easy to get all the achievements for it, I did atleast, and one more thing it's always good to have the sound up.
Doom 3 dark that is what had me skeptical and that one guy tranced send me a friend request thanks for the help but this is still a scary game topic so talk about the scary games u play.
Beautiful Katamari, man. It looks cute and cuddly at first but when you start rolling up people, hearing their desperate cries as their smothered against you're rolling ball of doom you realize just how stone cold the prince can be. And when the king turns this ball into a blazing star... Oh man, I just couldn't take it anymore. A Pshycological gore fest, it's every kind of horror you can think of. Alot of the music is sung in a foreign language and I'm glad because I just don't want to know what ever kind of sick twisted garbage they're trying to force on me or anyone else who has the misfortune of hearing it.
Condemned Criminal Origins, without a doubt. Definly the most immersive horror game I've ever played. It's sequel is okay but if you can immerse yourself into games the first game will freak you out.
I havent actually gotten to play dead space yet. I really want to. But on the matter of scariest game, I would have to say maybe one of the condemned games. Those are pretty freaky.
Play with a headset and blast the volume. The jumpy parts made freaked me out but without the headset and also if your in a party with friends talking it kinda ruins it

i was thinking the same thing myself when i bought it but, it really isnt THAT scary, sure it has its moments but hey play in the dark alone...its fun :D
anyway scariest game would prolly be....F.E.A.R 1 i played 1st mission and it freaked that shi.....crap outta me.

That was one of the first games i ever got for my 360 wayyy back. It was pretty freaky, and it scared the crap outta me at times, and no game really has ever done that(except Resident Evil when i was little)
IF DeadSpace is actually that scary, im gonna have to play it, but ive heard that it isnt really that scary.

Don't get your hopes up too high, there are a few 'jump out' scary parts, but for the most part, what's referred to as scary in Dead Space is the atmosphere, it's very tense and creepy. So just telling you, you won't be sweating profusely or wearing poop soiled pants, although it's still a great game.
I didn't find Dead Space scary at all. The music may make situations a bit tense, but pretty much every pop-out moment is directly infront of you and you kind of expect it. The opening sequence feels like a bit of a tease because that was probably the "scariest" moment and you expect more of it, but nothing as intense happens.

Dead Space is just a great game. It's so atmospheric with all of the tension, exploding fuses, and moving shadows. Play it alone and it'll definitely keep you on the edge of your seat. The lighting is fine, you have a light on all of your guns and it's not like Res Evil where you cannot walk with your weapon drawn. Armor and weapon upgrades are designed so well that you can't stop playing. And I'm a sucker for jump-scares, so my heart almost pounded through my chest a few times when playing through it the first time.
The great thing about Condemned 1 and 2 is its mainly close quarters hand to hand combat, so you dont have the luxury of picking enemies off from a distance. I love it when you just see on the screen "RUN FOR YOUR LIFE" I had to pause it at the end and take a deep breath.
