I haven't gotten a chance to play a few of the stellar games of 2008 like Dead Space, Fallout 3 or Persona 4, but I'd probably say CoD WaW or L4D, or Brawl if we're considering all game platforms
1.WoW:Wrath of the lich king (PC) I was not too excited about it but when gears 2 let me down I needed something multiplayer to play, I was supprised how much I liked the expansion.
2.saints row 2. I was really excited about it and it did not let me down
3.fallout 3. Was not too intrested in it but i really enjoyed it
Fallout 3, and im sure if id gotten a chance to play Fable 2 it owuld come in very close second because i LOVED the first one, and God of war PSP that game was slightly short but still amazing
My preference would be Gears Of War 2, but 2008 wasnt a good year for games, hopefully 2009 will be better.LFCFAN09
I strongly disagree. GTAIV, Fable II, Fallout 3, Rainbow 6 Vegas 2, Dead Space, Left 4 Dead, Soul Calibur IV, MK vs DC, Madden '09, NHL '09, Pure, Braid, Gears 2, Culdcept Saga, I could go on but you ger the point. Great games in every genre.

If you loved Fable you will get a kick outta Fable 2. It improved on the original in almost every way (spells/armor being weak spots). Storyline, the way you interact and change the game world, graphics, all that are massively improved. You need to play it!
I've played so little of that game (the demo), but I'm already utterly enthralled. I did complete Fallout 3, and I loved that. I haven't played many of the other games (mentioned in the original post), though.
