Final Fantasy 8 was nothing short of brilliant. My favourite by far. I would play 7 but I practically know the story, seen most of the cutscenes and had some other FF7 related stuff spoiled from hearing about other FF games ¬_¬
But yeah, FF8 is an amazing game. Graphics were jaw-dropping for it's time too.

i personally only played FF7-9... and 8 was my favorite... 7 was good too, but many people spoiled it for me... and I couldn't really get into 9.a55a55inx
Exactly my situation too. I never got to complete FF8 though. I got very far, nearly got to the 4th Disc.
