Does Fallout 3 count? If not, I'd have to say Bad Company 2. Demo proves this much already. I can already see hours/days of my life being wasted on that game...But then I'll get bored...then..Reach! :D

I have been playing games for a decade and I have never had this much fun with a multiplayer game or a shooter for that matter. I have played it for around 900 hours and I don't see any game changing that. I have played the most popular multiplayer games and nothing even comes close. So why don't you get over it? It's called my opinion.

I'm not too fond of FPS, but I have played quite a few. I'd have to say my personal favourite would be Halo 3. I actually enjoy playing this game, and it's the game I've played most on Xbox Live.
Halo: Combat Evolved is still hella-fun with a bunch of friends and the campaign is always beaten a couple times a year. I'll say Modern Warfare 2 keeps me coming back most often in terms of FPS games, though playing by myself is quite boring.
