What kind of zombies do you like?

Ah the zombie, my archnemisis. So do you guys like the super fast angry ones like in left 4 dead? Or do you prefer the classic shuffling slow hording zombies like in Dead Rising/RE ?

Me? I like the classic zombies in my games and in the films.

Ahhh.... the old classic slow zombies. Love them.

I like them slow, because then they can intimidate you in numbers, but you can run through them and stuff. The fast ones can kill you by themselves, and that's not fun when you're spinning around shooting everything in sight.

used to be all about the slow zombies.

but L4D2 changed that, really doesn't matter, but now I know fast zombies can make a game fun.

This is a far fetch, but realistically [lol] I would conclude a zombie should be slow and dumb. They are the living dead, so their brain couldn't function to the capacity that they could run, jump, and climb.

But then again, a game like Left 4 Dead wouldn't be the same without its fast zombies. At the same time, slower zombies give the survivors an even greater upper hand to harm them in more creative ways. The sniper scene from the Dawn of the Dead remake? "Jay Leno" haha.

Left 4 Dead works excellently with fast zombies.

Dead Rising works excellently with slow zombies.

In a real life zombie uprising, I'd prefer the slow ones.

The fast ones are cool but nothing beats classics, please return tous RE like in the old days but if you're getting ready for another of those adventures with no zombiesyou better start saving for Left 4 dead 3

It depends. Slow zombies tend to be more durable forcing the player to take shots more carefully and plan ahead (for example conserve ammo, avoid areas where zombies are concentrated, know your exits, etc). Fast zombies though are more action oriented, they come in greater numbers and die easier. Reactions are more important and players are forced to fight since you they'll just chase you down. This can lead to some epic moments where you are forced to fend off massive hordes instead of simply being able to sidestep them like you can against slow zombies.

Overall it just depends on the game. If its intended to be an actual survival horror game slow zombies work better, while action games with horror elements (like left 4 dead) are better off with the running ones.

It depends on how they work in the game. In L4D2 I like them fast. In games like Dead Rising I like them slower.

I like fast ones.....the fast feral ghouls in fallout 3 are zombies....and they are really super fast...I cant out run them but they are easy to kill accept for the reavers....

in my games i prefer slow, with some fast ones mixed in to keep the challenge up.

Slow zombies. I just find them creepier when they're walking around with missing limbs and slowly decomposing.

slow zombies are better because you can torment them by jogging around the room

Sometimes I prefer them slower, othertimes I prefer them at super human speed. If they're fast it's pretty damn scary and really gets the adrenaline pumping, but if they're slow you can enact a zombie slaying massacre without having to worry too much about getting your ears bitten off.

In the movies the slow ones. If we are talking video games then the fast angry ones are for me.

I didn't voted because which one I like depends on the game.

I cannot imagine L4D with slow zombies, nor Dead Rising with fast zombies.

Resident Evil REmake for the GC was excellent, it had slow zombies that turned in really fast-angry zombies when you less expected. Great remake.

Generally the slow zombies, pretty much how they walk in Nazi Zombies.

The old classic slow type.. They just freak me out more.. Don't know why.

Definitely the classic shuffling ones. They're just more zombie like. And if you think about it, under real physical terms, the fast ones are speedy walking rotting corpses, so if they're running around, it's more likely chunks of them will fall off or out of them xDD which would be an inconvenience to them lol.
