I have to adimt, i always go where the action is. THis is why I chose to make the xbox my counsel of choice. I can;t undrestand why some people would hang on to things that are only worth your first time memory of. Granted PS had some memeroble moments in its history. However, for me, when something better comes along i take it, i don't have setimental resons for sticking to something unless its a marriage. The xbox dominates all around in every aspect that's why i'm down with it.Dogmatic923well i had the original xbox and it was amazing and i did tones of reseach comparing the 3 and in the end the 360 was the btter consle. every one wants to support it and the games just keep getting better and better
Because it was the only one available at the time...
Granted I wouldn't have jumped right in if I hadn't loved my origional xbox, it was the only one I kept last gen. I sold my Ps2 and gamecube in 2003.
Now I own a 360, a PS3 and a Wii, the 360 will prolly stay my console of choice because it offers a balance of games and graphics. Without starting a flame war, I will say the PS3 may at some point deliver games the 360 can't touch graphically, but 99% of the time I think they will be equals and some multiplats will be better on 360.
XBL is top notch, and the download content is excellent. I just wish it had a bigger hard drive and my first 4 didn't die on me. Still love it for the games...
When I bought my PS2, I had pretty much stopped console gaming... I was gaming exclusively on my PC. Then, I visited my aunt my Thanksgiving and my cousin had GTA III. It was just one of those games that you play and you KNOW something's happening... like a big change in the way video games are done. So I bought a PS2 a couple of weeks later. I had the original PS (as well as all the NES systems N64 and prior, and a Sega Genesis) but didn't specifically have any loyalty to it... I planned on buying a PS3 just because my PS2 hadn't given me any trouble and I liked their exclusives well enough.
I bought an original Xbox, but returned it since the games I liked best on it were already on the PS2 and the rest were on PC (Fable, Doom3... hadn't played Halo at the time).
I ended up getting a 360 because (a) the controls on the PC version of Oblivion SUCK -- that game was made for consoles, (b) Sony's launch was becoming such a joke that I lost any confidence I had in that company, (c) I finally got to try Xbox Live over a co-workers house a few months before I purchased it, (d) better exclusives -- Final Fantasy has jumped the shark, Dragon Quest jumped to Nintendo DS, the rest of Sony's lineup is now cross-platform... when Ape Escape is the only exclusive I care about, it's time to reevaluate, (e) Sony's hardware isn't as powerful as they'd have you believe... if you examine the specs, you'd see that it isn't much more powerful -- if at all -- than the 360. There's a bunch of other reasons, but I'm tired and had a long-ass night last night. 360 rules, though... definitely one of my better purchases.
i got this console because
1. has amazing graphics
2. 200 dollars less than PS3
3. dont want blu ray
4. price wasnt too high and resonable for what it is.
5. great games
6. xbox live rules over sony (Even though theres is free... wont be for long)
7. controllers have rumble feature
8. able to DL movies (virtual blockbusters lol) and or favorite TV series
9. can connect with your PC
10. soon be able to play with PC players and have LIVE on your PC (ShadowRun).
Thats why i got this console...
