i watched footage of this game a mounth ago and it looked horible, now every1 is telling me what a great game it is, on this site it got a 9.0 what makes this game so great and why should i buy it ( when my xbox comes back form being repaired)

i think it's the deapest game i've ever played. the atmosphere is stunning. if you are not sure about the game, rent it and see what you think. you definitelyshould give this game a chance.
It's an inovative FPS, cause you also use magic. The graphics are awesome, the water effects are the best I've seen. The environments are open with big room for exploring. Killing a big daddy is extremely cool. The weapon upgrades, plasmid ("magic") upgrades are awesome and very useful. I don't know what else to tell you... for me this is the best game of the year so far.

anyway the game is good but i would at least recommend you have surround sound no lie.
I always forget that not everyone is playing 360 in surround and hi-def, DOH!
Any ways, if you like to kill stuff and get big and strong then this game is right up ur ally...if u are a gimp, and or dont like to play video games then this game isnt for u.

lol dude chill out:) But ya to answer your question the game, is superb with its story, it draws you in and its just plain fun
i would have to say because the game itself is so much different than anything else that ive seen. its so common to see that same things from a sci fi shooter and at first when playing bioshock some of it might seem awkward it all ties in very nicely. the game itself it amazing to look at and the controls and sound are very nice as well. it might not be as fulfilling with just using weapons but you have alot more at your disposal.
there is a demo on xboxlive should try that before you make your decision but for me i love the game.
id say the biggest star of the game is the setting, the underwater city without the constraints of government is a pretty sweet idea, and on top of all of that the style of that city is just so perfect, it seems like the person who buitl this game was put in a time capsule and only taken out to make this game. Other than that the game has some other really stellar parts, like the compleling story, and the original powers you get. and also the game can get kinda scary which is pretty cool.
