If you're under 14 you should not be allowed to play this game, but if youre 14-16 I understand your situation. I would try the fantasy/reality angle. Let them know that although the game is violent, you understand that it is just a game, and will have no effect of how you act in real life.
I reccomend an older friend or brother to buy you the game, what your parents don't know, in this case, won't hurt them IMO.
call social services and tell them your parents abuse you. maybe they'll put you with a family that will let you get it. =]
I got this game when i was pssh...like 13...my parents arnt like super strict about games that i play but i really see no bad coming out of playing CoD4...
Tell your parents that you need to learn how to fight in wars and how to use guns because if some day in your city they have a war, you would know how to fight that war because you learned how to fight wars in Call Of Duty 4.Need reasons to let my parents let me get COD4 but can't get M games give me reasons please i already told them you can turn off blood.

The games not even that bad. Kids this generation are born into a new era. Just cause a games violent doesnt mean a kid is gonna go doing bad stuff. Dont get me wrong theres but a couple cases of that ( ala halo murderer?) But COD4 aint that bad. Chances are you'll prolly play campaign once and theres very little swearing, and as for blood and gore u dont even notice it...
the nuke part is fairly graphic, its very high impactchaoscougar1That part was pretty crazy and plenty of other parts.

What makes cod 4 bad? Well it is a game based on killing people for one...
Vashn
super mario is based on crushing turtles, stealing money, and abusing wild dinosaurs for personal gain
wait, what?
Wow ahaha. That deserves to be quoted in my signature.
Well its realy not gory the only somewhat gory part is when you shoot a terrorists arm off but he lives. I think the reson Its M is its story is very serious., Its sad, theres so many crazy things that happen. You ill also find yourself mowing down russians. The bloods not that bad. Id say 14 and up.
Oh ya and there are executions. If you want to learn whats bad in games Id recomend a website called www.whattheyplay.com typiclly they over exadurate everything (espesialy Halo 3) but it will tell you whats bad. Its definitly not one of the most violent M games

I was thinking this as well. Concepts like this should be left for more mature audiences. I think it would be hard for most adolescent kids to understand the magnitude of such a weapon actually being used and the effect it would have across the world.
In all sense CoD4 touches on possible and on going world problems. Like I told my parents when they were concerned on getting CoD4, it will let me experience the horrors that can and are happening in the world without it affecting real life. Now I get rated M games whenever I want because they realise I'm mature enough to deal with these games and if i get screwed up by it (which I'm not) then its my fault.
Call of Duty 4 isn't actually that bloody unless you hit someone in the head or knife someone...so the blood issue isn't that great. Although I would also go with the "I know it's a video game and just a game and that this isn't acceptable in real life to kill someone" angle. (But it's war!!!) ha

Amateurslike y'all can't play the game for toffee, so when i start rapin everyone has to be a player hater and sends me abusive messages.
I think that everyone is making a bigger deal than nedd be. I mean, come one. GTA 4 and Halo. COD4 is definintley not on the list of the most violent games there are, it's and Army game. I don't think that it is bad unless you are a very overreactive parent. ( sorry overrative parents.....and my mom) I think thatthis is a great game and if you are willing to play with thheviolence thenthere is nothing that makes this game bad at all. Just my personal look on thewhole thing. Thanks.
i dont know what to tell you. my parents bought me perfect dark for the n64 when i was 8, but they still wont let me get gta, and im 17.
Sniping a guy's arm off, can't believe I'm the only one who said that.

your not I said it earlyer
I definately don't think of COD4 as a particularly violent or gory video game, but there are some graphic parts now that I think about it. The nuclear explosion, the execution scene in the beginning, shooting the guy's head off in the last level...dirtydishko2
you dont shhot heads of you just see blood and I guess some flessh fly
my parents bought me fallout 3 for christmas lol and there all uber christian too
but very right wing so they dont hate violence i guess

My bad, I must had skipped your post.you are right Youd think it would be said more but I guess not
I got this game when I was quite young, and to be honest I don't think its so violent at all. There are so many more violent games out there. But in your situation, I can understant, I guess you'll just have to wait till you are old enough to buy it.
Its not the same game but you could use the excuse that world at war is educational. Cod Waw definatly isnt as good but its not far away from it.
