Why? Because of Bungie's love of the number 7 and the fact that it would make the date 11/7/07 now take 11/7 and remove the / and you have 117 which is Master Cheifs spartan number.
NEVER. Bungie is gonna dangle the game in front of us for years and years while they keep changing things in it until it's not even Halo anymore. Then they'll release it but we won't realize it was Halo.
I don't see it coming out in October because it would therefore have to go up against GTA IV for sales... even though most people will buy both (if they like both) you do not want to put that consumer who can maybe only afford 1 at the time through that decision... i know it has been rumored to be September, but with the fact that the "beta" still hasn't been released and that the other two Halo games came out in November, I give November my nod.
