I would say Rainbow Six: Vegas, Bad Company, Shadowrun, and Halo 3 (again like the guy said about Call of Duty 4, everyone and their grandmother's are going to dissagree with me.)
From what ive played so far it would be 1. Halo3 2.RSV1/2 3.Gears ( not fps but still good ).
Im sorry but i really dont think COD4 takes much skill, i dont wanna start a flame war but u just need to shoot sum1 once n they die. doesnt take much skill lol ( soo sry ik im prolly gonna start sumthing with that comment)
I haven't played a lot of the newer ones cuz my 360 has been broken for months, but i would have to say Halo 3 or TF2. It just feels like in many of the other games it's too easy to kill people, for instancein COD if unless your very good or the other person sux the first person to see the other person will probably win. In Halo 3 there's more to the combat, grenades, jumping, where you shoot people. Just an example, but that's my opinion.
the most skill required games scare away the little kids and the general gaming crowd, so they're less popular than the cod 4 and the halo 3 and the gears 2 and what not. i found that bad company requies more squad management. tf2's level of skill still doesn't match most pc fps's like css. if they ever make a good squad-heavy game like battlefield 2 for the 360, combine it with realistic shooting mechanics and all the upgrades like in cod4, there's a great fps that requires skill and not a bunch of little kids swearing in the mic.

To all you people that say COD 4 and Halo 3 takes the most skill, that's not true. Basically, you're just trying to get the stronger weapon and ull do fine. For example, there's no way im gonna beat a player with an assault rifle while he's carrying a rocket launcher. In Shadowrun, you can actually beat a rocket user with an SMG. I have to say Shadowrun. That game is incredibly balanced unlike COD's 4 1 hit sniper crap. In SR, you can only use the sniper by scoping so if u do a close headshot with a sniper, that's true skill. This game is a mustbuy if you want some great multiplayer experience.
