Yeah, but 720p is the native resolution for the 360. With most games there is scaling going on to make it 1080i.1080p but most of the time I have it in 720p.. It looks alot nicer looking 720p.. So I am going for 720p.zappa02
How could 720p look nicer than 1080p? That makes no sense.
1080p for me
It is possible that if he is using a scaler on his tv or projector that it is inferior to the native resolution. In that sense there is a possibility that it COULD look worse. But in most cases, yes. 1080p will be superior to 720p, no question.
To answer the poll, I use 720p on my tv and projector since that is it's native resolution and the native resolution of the 360, though I do want to jump to the 1080p world soon. A year or two it will be pretty commonplace for 1080p stuff to be in the market, thus good prices. Watch for the next evolution of projectors in 1080p to come out. They'll be in the sub $4000 price range.
Currently using a 50" Sony Grand Wega LCD and a Panasonic AE-900 projector. Both great. One gets used to gaming with a 94" screen though! Come hither Halo 3!
Man, I'd love to have a really good 1080p projector for gaming, but first I'd need a really dark room that would allow me to project a 200inch screen onto the wall. That would be a for real home theater. It is possible that if he is using a scaler on his tv or projector that it is inferior to the native resolution.
