What should be the next COD I play?

I just played Modern Warfare. Which COD should be next on my list?

Obviously, if I knew which one to play, I wouldn't be asking. I know they have nothing to do with each other, but I'm wondering what the next best game is in the series so I can pick it up. Anyone have a recommendation as to the next COD I should play?

2 is worth playing as is World at War. Both have fun single players, but you have probably played the best one already in MW.senses_fail_06

I don't understand the question. if you're a fan of call of duty already, than you are into a realistic shooter experience, of which the first three are not... to the same extent anyways. WAW and MW2 are you best bets... like how is this a difficult question?

I'd say just go for a game thats... good. Personally I'm bored as hell by call of duty games. kill die respawn kill die respawn... and the missions are always just go from point a to point b with the same action the whole time. and stories? its either "TERRORIST SCUM HAVE INVADED (random middle east country)" in MW or the same old WW2 story we know and love in W@W...

Killing. Dying. Respawning. Happens in every shooter.Hell, it happens in every game, period.

Going from point A to point B. Also happens in every shooter. That's kind of the point of playing a game about war. It's about advancing forward.

Same action the whole time? Well, I can't argue with you there. The action in Call of Duty will only be the same if you let it be the same. You're free to pick up a new weapon whenever you want. If you're complaining that the GAMEPLAY is always the same, well, then I don't know what to tell you. I guess you want the game to turn into an RPG halfway through, or something of the sort.

Also, the story is about a rebel uprising that overthrew and killed the leader of a middle-eastern country. Now they're taking over. It's not about terrorists invading a country. If anything, it's closer to a civil war.

COD 2 hands down if you're looking for a single-player experience. I think it's far superior to WAW.

Not true. I played COD:MW and loved it. Was a beta tester for COD:W@W and hated it.

Yes, you have been on these boards longer and have blogs and online friends, so you're way cooler than me. Being a douche on online boards just shows how much you're overcompensating for being a loser in real life. If you don't have anything helpful to say, don't post on a topic. Very easy.

The only Call of Duty I ever liked was MW. You should wait for MW2

if you are desperate to play another Cod,get WAW its a lot of fun ,its basicly the same gameplay as CoD 4. Otherwise wait for modern warfare 2

Call of Duty 2. In my honest opinion, it's the best Call of Duty game.

If you want a WW2 game then go back and play the original COD. It's much better than W@W imo.

yea and this whole topic is kinda stupid in the first place. all you have to do is type call of duty in the search bar and WAM! there is all the call of duty games your heart desires.
