My X360 was purchased in April 06. I have the proof of purchase (the original receipt) and original box. The problem is definetly a disk drive as it won't read any discs any longer. At first I got 3 red lights.....I stopped playing it altogether. Just tried again 3 months later....it starts up just fine except now it won't read the game disc.

My Question, now that all X360's have a 3 year warranty will it cover this problem? If not should I just tell them it's a 3 red ring problem when I call? I don't want to make a mistake of saying it's something that isn't covered because at this point I refuse to pay anything to get it fixed. Can anyone help me out.

Just call and tell them you're getting 3 red lights. They know about the warranty dude, it will cover you.

Believe it or not they're pretty understanding as long as you've troubleshooted your 360 (ie. unpluged the power supply, removed and replaced the hard drive etc). If you tell them about the red lights and the disk drive errors they may just send you out a box there and then. Dont put up with a malfunctioning 360 get it repaired they owe it to you for buying it.
