So me and my wife have been talking about buying a new Xbox 360 cause our warranty is up in 3 months. We're thinking about either getting a new Hard Drive or we want to get the MW2 edition off KSL from someone who has already bought it but they haven't opened it or played it.
Does that mean that the Console can still be registered in our names and the warranty is valid for us?
Should we just sell our old 360 and get a new one if we want the warranty, what would save us money in the long run?

Sell your current system on ebay or something like that and put that money toward a brand new one with a full warranty. I did that not too long ago. I sold my 20 gig for $160 and bought a 120 gig elite for $249 (boxing day deal). The upgrade was well worth $90 to me.

Why do you worry so much about the warranty? If your's just went out, I am sure it still has the 3 year for RROD.... Even if it doesn't, are you seriously going to buy a brand new 360 just to get the warranty? Why not buy an extended one...? People with money just blow my mind on what they spend it on.

You could sell the current system you have now, and then buy the Final Fantasy bundle coming soon.

FFXIII, 2 controllers, Xbox 360 system, 250gb harddrive for 400$.

"I didn't ask for a PS3 Fanboyz opinion.

I already planned on buying a PS3 with my tax return but it's not to play PS3 games! Oh no... It's to watch blu-rays and play PS2 and PSX games. Considering I haven't seen one PS3 game that interests me except for MAG... That's about it! Lol."

good luck with playing PS2 and PS1 games unless you are buying an older ps3..

I already know that.
I owned a backwards compatible PS3 about a year in a half ago.
And I found another one that I am buying. Thanks.

Actually I don't have a lot of money.
Did you see where I said "Tax Return"?
I don't understand why people who don't have money cry about the people who do have money, do with their money.
So... Stop crying.

I'd recommend selling the old one on craigslist.

Then buy a new Elite... or wait for Natal to come out. I'm hoping with the release of that bull we can see another price drop. If you're not willing to wait and see I'd just go on Amazon and buy an Elite.

Edit: Typos.

i say play your old one till it breaks and when/if that happens buy a new one! Is an unexpected trip to the store that much of an inconvenience?

id play it till it was dead. youll still have your hd to transfer to the new system if your old one goes down. i have an original 360 and ive yet to have a real issue and my warranty was up long ago. on the day it ended i tore apart my box to clean/mod/paint it to help its life. its worked so far. and it looks cool as hell.

That's what I'll probably do once the warranty is up.
