A few minutes ago I made my Live account, and I thought before I play online I was going to play GRAW2 just to make sure that I'm not out of practice. I go to load my file...And nothing. There's apparently no record of me playing. So I got to the main 360 menu, I checked my achievements:

Nothing. What happened? Is there anyway to reverse this?

If you created a new profile for Xbox Live, it won't transfer over the stuff from your other profile. I had this same thing and had to start many games over again.

Did you use the same name or use a new one when you made the account?

That's utterly idiotic. So it's virtually gone forever?

Same name, how? "Booster" was already taken so I entered my email to get the screen name I have on Xbox.com.

Agreed but it's the same as if your friend comes over and creates a new account on your Xbox, it would be a totally clean slate.

How is that utterly idiotic? You made an entirely different profile, it doesnt automatically transfer over all your data everytime you make a new one. And no it isnt gone forever, just sign back into your old profile. Of course, your old profile doesnt have XBL, so you wont be able to play online on that profile. Each profile is different and new, just because they are on the same hard drive doesnt mean they share the same achievments/save games etc.

Okay, that's good that I have my files on my 360...At least somewhere. Stupid question:

Will I acquire anything on Live for beating games and getting achievements? Or is it not important?

Your gamer score goes up and that's cool and all but as far as I know there's really no benefit to doing it other than a leaderboard and bragging rights.

Hmm, I see. So there's absolutely no feasible way possible to transfer my old data?

Yeah, thanks. Do you by chance know how I can redeem my free month of Gold that came with my 360?
