What the hell is wrong with this freaking console!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!

Oh my god. I try to play Halo 3, Gears of War and Over G Fighters, and I get a combination of the following:

A random, all white screen with text telling me "please insert this disc into an Xbox 360 console"

A disc read error

An error booting me from the game and sending me back to the dashboard telling me that my text and voice communications have been disabled (yet they haven't).

And simply being booted from the game back to the dashboard for no apparent reason with no error message or explanation.

I love the 360 and I love it's games, but this is just frustrating, random and stupid as hell. If the system wants to crap out, give me 3 red rings and crap out already. Jesus Christ this is ridiculous.
