I am so hooked on Call of Duty 4 it's silly. It would get my vote for sure, but I am enjoying Assassin's Creed a lot and although it's not my kind of game I'm sure Mass Effect will be (is) stellar.
COD4...the SP campaign is short, but all of the missions are pretty intense. And the MP is very addictive, with so many ways to level up.AC would be a close second, sort of like GTA on a horse. I'm not sold on ME, just b/c it's a RPG, but it's usually RPG combat that turns me off, and I think this one is supposed to be different.
I bought both "Assassin's Creed" and "Call of Duty" at BESTBUY today because they had a door crasher sale on. If you bought both games at the same time the price was $89.99 for the pair. I got my pair for the PS3 and picked up a second pair on 360 for my buddy.
i have assassin's creed and that game is very fun. Its such an awesome game. Its so freaking cool when you reach the top of a lookout point and the camera circles around while zooming out and you can see lots of scenery that looks very realistic.

and the scenery is your playground:D get AC. its only single player tough but lots of fun
