gears of War, Crackdown sucks, the graphics suck, the shootting sucks....gameplay sucks ...... Gears of War is the sh!t ..... Graphics, crazy hot, gameplay in the same boat, and XBOX live, the graphics r the same, just a little more loading time but other than that, hotness .....
don't buy a game you aren't sure if you're going to like or not just for a demo that may or may not be good
go for the good game instead

I have to agree, the Halo beta is tempting but don't use that as your only reasoning for buying a sub-par game. Go with the safe bet in Gears, it's a great game, beautiful to look at, and generally fun all around.
if it was me having to make this soul tearing decision. then i would buy gears second hand, the get a hold of crackdown. if u can get crackdown second hand then bonus. but i doubt u will till halo 3 is released.
