I own 2. 1 which is the pro, I have had since launch with no issues until March 08. It fell victim to the RROD, was sent back repaired only to have the disc read error. I sent it back and M$ fixed it free of charge. I also own the core, which is for my kids. I bought it around the christmas of 06 and it only lasted 3 months before RROD. It was repaired and sent back promptly. I actually switched mine with my kids now because theirs has the HDMI port, and I wanted to take advantage of my 46" Sony Bravia 1080P LCD. I was told by a rep @ M$ that you could only get 1080p resolution for the HD-DVD add on (RIP) via HDMI. Everyone that I know that has a 360 has fell to the RROD. I talked to my local Fed Ex guy and when he brought my 360 back repaired, he said he has delivered more than 200 repaired 360s in my city alone. Thats HUGE! I live in a medium size city. I love my 360 and I think its the best gaming platform out there, but I seriously hope they get this issue resolved.
I originally bought the Xbox 360 Core System at launch. I didn't get the Hard Drive because at the time, I didn't have Xbox Live. When I did get live, I bought a Hard Drive (I got Xbox Live around late 2005/early 2006). I recently upgraded to a 120GB Hard Drive, well maybe not that recently. Oddly, I haven't gotten the Red Ring of Death (Knock on Wood).
I have an elite that I have been running since November. Before that, I had a Pro that lasted from launch until November. I sold the refurbished one to a friend and upgraded my own.
Christmas 2007, arcade version. I know, dumbest version to buy but I didnt think I would ever use XBL. I was WRONG. So yeah, stupid me. But luckily, I bought a Harddrive for $50, so I didnt lose too much money.

im getting arcade tommrow... my 360 pro died on me so im just gonna slap my hard drive on it and jsut wondering the acrade system you got has HDMI port?
i got mine back in april of 2006 and wish i'd get the RROD just so i can get it fixed for free cause it always overheats and shuts off but is still cool to the touch and xbox said that it is a problem but they dont know what and want $100 to fix it.

My old Premium started scratching disks so I traded it into gamestop and used it as credit towards an Arcade version. I saved my hard drive and just put it on the arcade. So I only paid 150 bucks for a new arcade. Not too bad I think. And yeah mine has the hdmi with the falcon chip. I've had it since January and no problems at all.
And how long have you had it before you got RROD and
if you never got RROD State how long you've Owned it.

I have the Halo3, but I didn't want it. I was deadset on buying a 360 that day and they were out of the 20GB, I had to have HDMI so I just took the Halo3 one. (Not even a Halo3 fan) 50$ more, wasn't too bad, came with a Play and Charge Kit...2 Months of Live Gold...A nicer headset and something else can't remember.
Had it since they released them, no RROD yet. Just sounds like a Semi Truck.

Pro since Christmas 2006. Keep it well ventilated and plugged straight into the wall, never had a problem with it (although the 3 year warranty is a nice insurance policy)
