After watching the Microsoft Press conference, i nerd raged. I couldnt believe what microsoft were just talking about as 3/4 of what they were saying was aimed at children and teens and not the hardcore gaming audience. And what makes it worse is the fact that they have a solo kinect conference for today just explaining it AGAIN!
i dont see the point in it microsoft. i had hoped for some new, exclusive releases and epic gameplay but i got a child playing with a cat about 50 people flooding on stage in separate occasions with poor acting skills showing games that i and many,MANY people were simply not interested in. (yes i know there was gears 3 and MGS but not much was showen and there wasnt enough to keep a very stale show "fresh" in a sense.)
it also seems like microsoft are trying to step on nintendos territory and get the audience but from a business point of view thats reasonable. i mean , there only trying to expand their market share by introducing a new audience to the 360 which increases their profits at the end of the day. however the young audience should be left to nintendo and the Xbox should focus on more serious , hardcore titles and new IP's to make their moneys worth and to also, make gamers like us, happy!

but i want to hear what the awesome people of gamespot think!

so what did you think of the microsoft press conference?

The custom cutting of MGSR seemed awesome but everything else about the game looked a little blow imo. The coolest thing I've seen so far is the tech in the Ubisoft game that could sense the fitness lady's body and cloth and calculate weight stuff based off of that. Everything else was either lame or in genres that I don't care about.

Oh, Black Ops seemed cool. I don't buy FPS games but if someone put a gun to my head and said I had to buy one this year, it'd be that. That and Ghost Recon made the Halo Reach footage seem pretty dull and boring. Also, I've never played Gears but have the bad guys always had a claymation/Wallace and Gromit look to how they move?

I think Microsoft forgot who play's their consoles, definitely not casual gamers that will appreciate a simple yoga game or collecting pins while doing poses.
