picture this a civil war in skyrim crazy Nord Barbarians are evrywhere killing nothing is safe. Not to meantion the orcs that left (their province ecapes me) to be away from an uprising now caught in it elves are treated like dogs as they have intellect and stealth but not much Brawn. Redguards and Imperials try quell the rebels but they die by the 100s

then the game will either be on shed loads of discs like lost odd, or it wud be as short as mass effect thats why obliv is so long because they use the disc space ecconomically, where mass effect loads up loads of unique content for each conversation,. where oblivion reuses some of the same animations etc over and over again. so it can spread the game out about 2/3 times longer than it should be. wud be great but i think if they bring another out then look at fall out 3 and imagine it set in oblivion times with oblivion weapons and thats what you would expect from animations and graphics and depth of the next game, whenever its out, as they not much info on it coming out anytime soon or any real true prieviews or legit info, other than just expecting a sequel (as they bound to be one initI really really hope they have better combat animations.
Oh, and Im thinking every dialogue goes into cutscene mode and you get to hear the main character speak like you do in Mass Effect.

im hoping it will be in the northern province. i dont recall the name of it however. i hope it is a bit more free like morrowind. like i hated that whole thing with everything being able to be destroyed and what ever. its not that it is all bad, but it is a bit of a turn off. also i hope it is a bit of morrowind and oblivion mix. i think they did a lot of good in each, but when they did somthing wrong in one they fixed it in the other but coulldnt bring the things they did right in the other one ya know? its a little bit of a disappointment in that terms. but i loved bethesda and i think whatever they decide to do with it, they will do it very well.
It would be cool if your character can own larger buildings and properties as well as people to run them when you're not around. You would have to provide for these people as well with money and equipment. It might be interesting if you could be aggressively attacked in your own home or followed and attacked outside by some secret cult established to avenge someone or simply murder you for fun. 3-somes with Spriggans and Spider Daedra. And, rare, real strong adversaries that are unique and tough to defeat. These would be enemies that you wouldn't want to tangle with until much later in the game. It doesn't matter though. Whatever Bethseda makes, I'm sure most people will enjoy it.

As much as I hate to admit it this is where a blueray drive would be really handy.

you should be a game writer!!!
TES V is a LONG ways off yet. It may not even be released for current consoles; so I don't think we need to be talking about current technological limitations. There was a 4 year gap between the release of Morrowind and that of Oblivion, and I expect that we will see a similar gap between Oblivion and TES V. I think the most likely provinces for the game would be either the Summerset Isle, or maybe Black Marsh, or even Elsweyr & Valenwood together. I do not think that any of the northern provinces are likely, for the reason that thy have kind of already done them, what with Bloodmoon, and Bruma in Oblivion, I would most likely rule Skyrim out, and they used Hammerfall and Morrowind already; but I could always be wrong. Whatever the case, I hope that Bethesda can bring the things they learned from making Fallout 3 to the table, as that improved on most of the faults that I disliked in Oblivion. Personally, my favourite game of the series was Morrowind so I'm hoping that they will borrow from that experience as well, more than Oblivion. Morrowind had a LOT more content to offer than Oblivion, imo, and most of it was more interesting; although Oblivion was by no means short, I spent much more time on Morrowind.Deluhatholnot that long left until ES 5 link: http://blog.wired.com/games/2008/10/bethesda-wants.html

You really thought it was wise to bring back a 2-year old thread just to brag about guessing the setting?

I loved Oblivion 4 and I downlaoded all the xpansions. very cool game.
I hope they don't have you grinding through those stupid Oblivion gates like they did in 4(or something similar). I got so bored of that. I did it so many times that I eventually was able to speed run an Oblivion gate in less than 5 minutes. Such a buzz kill
Oblivion gates can get repetitive sometimes but I'm happy with the overall idea of closing the gates to banish evil from the Tamriel. Cheers to the amazing ES4 intro http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nGyw_0IG5s0I loved Oblivion 4 and I downlaoded all the xpansions. very cool game.
