What XBOX Live games should i get for my new XBOX360?

what type of games are ur fave style mate.

if its shooters and u got money to buy new titles, cod4 is out next month, 2nd hand cod3 offers very similar enjoyment and is bout half the price 2nd hand. halo 3 as well if u like quakey shooters, gears of war is good but not as universally enjoyed online as the others are but still if u get on it theys anyamounts playing too. if ya like more taticle shooter rainbow six vegas is quality, some real fun team work ull have and it will make u a better shooter. gwar & gwar 2 also offer some good fun at good 2nd hand prices

need 4 speed most wanted and carbon are dirt cheap 2nd hand and still have players, if ya like more realistic forza 2 is the one and is coming right down in price. but also pgr 4 just out and so is a new need 4 speed

fight night round 3 is quality online nowt like it, pga golf tiger woods 07 has just droped loads in price too get these both cheap 2nd hand and tiger 08 is out at full price, fifa 08 and pro evo 08 both banging too just ya either prefer one or the other but they demos of most the games on xbox live to download for free

theys any amounts f other online games they just a insite to a few of the popular ones

I just got my XBOX360 and I wanted to know the best online multiplayer games to get.grimybrit

I'm a well... you could say i'm a new xbox 360 owner (just got on live 3 weeks ago).I like First Person Shooters and that stuff so i will have games that well you kill things with guns.

1. Halo 3
2. Gears of War

Thats all the games I have played on live shooting other people but if ya wait you could get:

1. CoD4
2. Quake Wars
3. Battlefield: Bad Company
4. Frontlines: Fuel Wars
5. Tom Clancy's End War (don't know if a live game)
6. Unreal Tournament 3
7. and if you wait awhile Gears of War 2

Gears of War or Halo 3 are two amazingly good online games (and personally, I prefer Gears out of the two).

Dont' buy any games. Use your 360 strictly for downloading TV shows and Movies. If enough people stop using it for games, then pretty soon they will release 'good' tv shows for downloading. Shows like 'Alf' and '21 Jump Street'. And if you're not going to use it for purchasing shows and movies, then only use it for listening to music or DVDs.

I've had mine for 2 years and haven't bought a single game. I didn't even know that you could play these "video" games on the 360 until I read this thread. And what does "online" mean anyway? Is that a game that's so good that you must wait in line at the store to purchase it?

But yeah, NO games. Just purchase shows and movies. This way the money keeps going to the people who really derserve it most. Rich investors that only watch as their pile of money grows.

And if you get enough of xboxlive and want some offline play then go with Oblivion Goty for 300+ hours of gameplay. Or wait for next month's Mass Effect which is going to be a cinematic game experience like nothing before it.

Yeah..... Oblivion sucks. You go around a few towns for a bunch of hours running errands for people. BTW good choices for games, I hated gears--but you might have a different opinion. Andone word ofHalo 3, AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!
