the darkness hands down... just beat the game today and im gonna replay it and try to get all of the offline achievments

mass effect looks like it will hav a gr8 story. final fantasys are usually v good

Gears? The "Monsters!? I shoot dem with big gun" game? That hardly had a storyline.

I'll assume everyone else has either posted Halo 3 or Mass Effect, and very few have posted games we've actually seen... I'll go against the flow of popular opinion, and say for released games Dead Rising and mebbe Oblivion. Lost Planet has possibly the worst storyline. In unreleased games, I really hope Bioshock is good.

Are you kidding? How can you say that Gears was good, when it's debatable if a story was even present.

I thought gears had a pretty good story in there even tho some side stories seemed as if they were started and just thrown out.

Mass Effect is probably gunna have a good story along with Bioshock and The Darkness (havnt played it yet)

Absolutely loved the Assasins Creed Storyline. Also Mass Effect has had a great success with theres! Bioshock also has a very good storyline.:D

wow. really digging into the archives huh? I know that it is a PS3 game (i assume everyone here has played it though), but I really like the God of War story

right now just because we have the most out of it i think the halo series has the best stroyline so far. Even tho 2 and 3 kinda went away from it it's still a great triology and storyline. Bioshock is a close 2nd

Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Final Fantasy, and Resident Evil off the top of my head.

Eternal Sonata was really engaging. I also think Assassin creed and Mass Effect are shaping up to have stellar endings.

I agree with this, the storyline for Gears is really weak and there is really no character building withing the story. This makes sense of a a shooter since most of the attention should be focused on the action but having it listed as one of the best storylines is almost insulting to many other well written games.
