Play Silent Hill Homecoming then unless you don't like scary games but it is sad though.

I agree that part has so far been the most emotional sequence in any game i've played this gen.
Lost Odysseydoubalfaomg yes... if you watch and read everything in that game (especially the first disk) its amazing. I was very nearly in tears at one point.
eternal sonata all the way. gears may be sad but the story telling is sh*t compared to eternal sonata. you play the whole game knowing the best characters are about to die of disease!alfredoooI would like to agree, but in the end, the story was wrapped up without any real emotion, and then stopped making sense...
Lost odyssey comes to mind. Without giving spoilers there is something i think on the second disc that is probably one of the most depressing things ive seen out of games books or movies. Also some of the memories you have to read are really sad too. I remember one where
*MINOR SPOILER* There is one about Kaim's old friends who got married, but the girl was a different race and not accepted by her husbands family or community and the husband came to visit Kaim and told her how his wife wasnt happy and stuff. This was extremely sad to escpecailly the ending.
So if you really want a depressing game Lost Odyssey is definitely for you. I think this is the only game thats actually ever put me to tears. (But it hasnt been that sad to me for a while. It was mainly on around Disc 2) But who knows what happens on the last disc which is where i am.
get a PS2 and play Final Fantasy X... but other than that, you can try Fallout 3, Gears of War 2, and Silent Hill: HomecomingEssian
Agreed. FFX is the saddest (and greatest) game I have ever played (though FFX-2 sort of counters that by wrapping up the story with a happy ending). Also the MGS series is pretty sad.
But seeing as how this is the 360 board, the saddest 360 game I have ever played is Lost Odyssey. Eternal Sonata is kinda sad too, but it was hard for me to get into. There isn't really much else on the 360... games told better, deeper, and more emotional stories back in the last gen IMO, when the PS2 thrived with single-player, story driven titles. I didn't find Gears 2 emotional at all... Dom's voice acting was wayy over-exaggerated and the whole Maria mini-storyline felt forced and unnatural IMO.
