What's a shooter fan to do...

When he's gotten bored of MW2, didn't like BF3, played all the old CoD games and BC2, done with GoW3, and tried Crysis 2 but wasn't into it... I think I've pretty much run the gambit, and there isn't anything (other than Halo, which I refuse to get, because I ****ing hate that series) else for me to try. I guess my best bet is to try and get back into one of the games I mentioned... Any thoughts or suggestions?

Singularity and Bioshock. Not pure war shooters but amazing games. Also, try Operation Flashpoint: Red River for a game no one has played but is incredibly solid with a fun campaign and "spec ops" like missions on the side.

Have you tried Rage or Crysis HD.

Borderlands - FPS w/ rpg elements. And it'll get you ready to play Borderlands 2. Or try BF3 again, don't know how you couldn't like that game. It takes some time to get used to, but MAN is it good.

umm play other games that aren't shooters? There are other genres ya know.

Why not give Halo another shot and focus on its positives instead of the negatives. You seem spiteful towards it with the way you put it. I used to hate Call of Duty online (for dumb reasons), then eventually gave in and now am enjoying it. I usually mix it up with Halo and the CoD series. Keeps me happy.RoslindaleOne

Borderlands has great shooting. Constantly finding new guns made it incredibly addicting to play

Sure, you can find a huge number of guns but most are useless...Borderlands is a fun game though.

Not surprised that you're sick of COD, because I'm sick of that series. I hope Activision stops pumping out these crappy games for 60 bucks and DLC for almost twenty bucks for three maps. Try Left 4 Dead? Team Fortress 2?

Let's see...RAGE is a reasonably solid, newer shooter (although the story is lacking). It's worth at least a rental. Then there are older shooters like Bioshock and Bioshock 2. Other than that, if you're into 3rd person shooters at all, I'd recommend Dead Space, Dead Space 2, Alan Wake, Red Dead Redemption, and L.A. Noire.

Wow, took you a few days to think about that one, huh? Not sure why it would be bothering you so much. Anyways, those games that you mentioned that have multiplayer are pretty much dead online. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone who is looking for competitive online gaming.
