It all pretty much depends on how long you will play Guitar Hero for. Gears is a pretty quick game and unless you have Xbox Live it doesn't seem like you would get too much out of it.
ya i would play gh2 for a long time but i have a brother who would play co op and i have friends come over all the time to play multiplayer but ya i dont have xbox live.
It all depends on what you like. They are both fun. I'd say get them both. But I'd go with gears even though it could get old. You'll always have someone to play it with because EVERYBODY plays it even when halo 3 comes out people will still play it. Besides it cost more to buy Guitar hero 2 because of the guitar. Which one though it good. They are both fun. Trust me
Wow this is the worst comparison between two games.There tottaly diffrent games.Gears Of War deffinatly wins,but try compareing something more similar.
gears is unbelievably fun for about 2 or 3 months but ive had gh2 since release and i still play it a ton and it never gets old..i actually might go play it soon im not sure, but gh2 wont ever be outdated or anything but gears will eventually be outdated and outplayed
however, gears is a game that everybody with a 360 has, so i woudl definitely recommend getting gears
get gears and then gh2 later on when u get enough money
Unless you can get a second controller, Guitar Hero's multiplayer is not fun with a regular controller. If you'll play alone more, then get GH2. If you're looking for multiplayer and can't get a second guitar, get Gears. Both are great games, I personally prefer Guitar Hero, so go with whichever will be better for you.

Well yeah i sorta figured that out already.But its still hard to pick one for you because there such diffrent games.I must Say Gears Of War though,Great Campaign...you might hate multiplayer for a while because the game has been out for a while so theres alot of experianced players so you might die alot.
