What's Going to Happen after Mass Effect?

I looked at how many games were coming out after Mass Effect in December and into January, and the games are not coming. I hope Mass Effect would last about 2 months, considering the low amount of games coming out. Right now, you may be able to blow through Assassin's Creed in a week's rental over Thanksgiving, and get hooked on the COD:4 multiplayer for only so long. And from what I heard on 1UP, Mass Effect is cracking out to be less than expected.Atleast most people can play SimCity for a little while longer....

Isn't the new Burnout coming out in January? That looks like its going to be really good.

Edit - The reason your seeing so many right now is cause its the holidays, and this is always when the games are flooding in. My idea would be to buy a game (if you can) and put it to the side and than when the "slow" periods kick in you have something to play. Don't just blow thru every game as fast as you can. And as for Mass Effect, I think this will be a good game just wait for the reviews and don't worry about it.

Left 4 Dead comes out next year in Q1.

If you have xbox live you should have no problem with playing Halo 3 and COD 4 for at least a good 6 months before getting bored, i say 6 months but i know people that will play them for years.

Assassin's Creed and Mass Effect should be lasting you quite a while

If you love Guitar Hero, the new guitar hero 3 is awesome.

Always nice to play Madden 08 and NBA live 08 or 2k8 online.

Heist looks like a good game coming at the end of the year, unless it gets delayed.

Burnout Paradise like someone said is coming out in January

GTA IV and Devil May Cry 4are coming out in Q1 of 2008

And finally another cool looking game coming out, The Club, is what i'll be waiting for.

So yeah man, technically right after Mass Effect there is a good waiting period before the new good games start coming out, but you got once again, Halo 3, Assassin's Creed, Mass Effect, Bioshock, COD 4, NBA, Madden and so on to keep you busy for months to come

Yeah, wish Hellgate London came out on 360. Hell, I wish Crysis would come out on 360.........if only we had DX10 (wishful sigh).

I've gotten something like 8 new games in the last 2 weeks and they all seem fantastic..... I think that will tide me over for quite a while.

About Mass Effect: I've learned to just ignore 1Up as I've never agreed with anything I've read from them. I can tell you from personal experience (check the GT) that Mass Effect will be everything you want it to be if you enjoyed KOTOR and want a little real time combat. It's excellent; not without any flaws, but I definitely think it is a VERY serious GOTY contender and will be in the 9 to 9.5 range. It simply impresses on so many aspects (except framerate :))

i'll get assassin's creed in a few weeks, then maybe get mass effect for xmas..... but yer, after that it's a bit of a wait until burnout paradise and gta IV..... what's coming out after gta IV (apart from army of two)
