who cares if it gets a 9 on here or not, its up to u to like the game or not for yourself, no point worrying what a game will score on a site or a mag, the reviews only meant to alert you to any poor points in a game or technical problems and build up whats good to give you a idea if its worth buying or not. i think most people dont need a review for gta to decide if they buying it. its either ur style of game or not.
I know that reviews don't matter and all that but I'll still probably get mad if it gets a 9. Just like when they gave Bioshock a 9 for not having vita chambers, Call of Duty a 9 for I don't even know what, and then equaled both of those amazing games to garbage called Assassin's Creed by giving that 9. Oh yeah and also equaled Condemned to Mass Effect by giving both an 8.5. How is this a professional site that's held in such high regard when they are extremely inconsistent?
Here's what I do; make your own decision! You don't have to believe what you are told, and more importantly make it your own belief... If it does so what? What if you choose to think for yourself and think it to be only a 7? It's not out yet anyway. Wait and then make your mind up.
Not trying to offend or upset, just think it's funny how everyone bases everything on someone else's ratings and point of view.
I don't really enjoy Gamespot reviews either but a 9 is a great score in my eyes. I really only like Gametrailer reviews but that's just me. I wouldn't riot with a 9, but an 8...
i love gamespot, but their rating isnt always accurate. take mass effect and cod4 for example. m.e. should have gotten what cod4 did, and vice versa. look for ratings elsware.
If Grand Theft Auto IV gets a 9.0 it still earns editors choice honors. Making it a must-have according to this site. So that means what? That it's a great game. Maybe if you said it got a 7.5 or something. But after all the hype and the delays I sure hope that Grand Theft Auto IV gets at least a 9.5. If not, oh well. I'm sure someone somewhere on some game site or magazine will give it a10.

I just read IGN's game reviews. there usually dead on. they gave mario galexy a 9.5 i think?? I played it for less then a week. thought it was cool, but just didn't do it for me. GTA will prob get a 9.7-10 from IGN. If anything they will complain about some slow ups, or good graphics but not as good as other games...
Mass Effect, although a great game, was plagued by a lot of bugs, glitches, slowdown in framerate, and a terrible inventory. If you can overlook those problems and issues, and give it a 9.0 you're being dishonest. Technically, it's less than 9.0 but none of us care about being professional, now do we?
