Whats so great about halo (not flaming)

I really don't get what's so great about any halo games. The multiplayer is pretty fun, but the guns are way to weak and unbalanced. The storyline is pretty good, but again, I've seen much better, even from other alien invasion stories. The graphics flat out suck. (Im not a graphics whore, but I'm tired of seeing people like "omfg teh halo burned my eyes out its so good looking") Some anti-aliasing and better textures would really help. please enlighten me. And try to give a tangible reason other than it's halo. Im looking way more forward to half-life 2 orange box than i ever was about any halo game.

And I'm not even an FPS fan.

Must be the on-line multiplayer. Fun game, great series and it's done a lot for FPS's on a console, but it is FAR from being the best shooter on the market. Halo has earned it's name, but is certainly overrated.

Halo games are fun, and I will probably get halo 3 (Ive only played it for a while at a friends house), I dont see why every site i go to has a halo ad, every store i go to has halo posters, and every time i go anywhere at school, i hear people planning they're "leet halo party where they will pwn some n00Bs" I actually heard some one say thatbachilders
