whats the best FPS game u have ever played

i've played lots of fps. in my opinion, i sort of think that halo 3 is one of the best, next to call of duty 4. wat's your favorite?

The original Doom and Bioshock will always be awesome to me.

EDIT - I can't believe I forgot about Painkiller. That game will always have a special place in my heart.

Best FPS I've ever played... Hmm, that's tough I'd have to say it's a tie between:

Killzone

Any Tom Clancy shooter like Rainbow Six.

Call of Duty is good, but I like the idea of utilising a cover system. :)

Oh man, don't even get me started...

Half Life 2 (and episodes 1 and 2) probably takes the cake for me. Left 4 Dead is another awesome one. (Yes Valve is probably my favorite studio ever.)

And of course, the Halo trilogy are all fun games. And I highly enjoyed Doom 3.

In addition to these, The Darkness and Chronicles of Riddick are another couple of favorites. Starbreeze does great work.

I think that mainly covers it though. I mean, Goldeneye is obvious though...

...oh yeah, and Timesplitters. Amazing. Please make more for us fans.

Battlefield anyone? Not 2142 though. Battlefield 2 for PC.

And I think now I'm done...

NO. Still not done! Far Cry. All of them I highly enjoy. The newest one is a little disappointing though.

3. COD4 reason: perks and xp unlocks
