Socom:US Navy Seals was THE BEST ONLINE GAME EVER! Yea yea Halo fans flame me all you want, but I believe Socom really kicked off the online gaming franchise better than anyone would've expected. Also if you were talking about on Microsoft's console giant (360) then I'd have to say Rainbow Six: Vegas.

HL2, Halo: CE, HL: Opposing Force, Riddick, Duke Nukem 3D and Gears of War are some of the very best shooters I've played so far

In no particular order, Half Life series, Doom series (minus 3), Quake series, Unreal series, Fear and finally the Halo series. There are many more but these are the ones that stand out to me.

Hard to say since I've been playing a long time... favorite FPS is probably Half Life 2, though I'm a sucker for some GoldenEye.

black! nobody has been able to match the shooting in that game.  I'm still playing it and is the ONLY xbox game I still have.  I would get rid of GeOW before trading in BLACK.

snes - doom

n64 - goldeneye dukenukem 64 or perfect dark

gc- timesplitters future perfect

xbox - timesplitters future perfect

ps2- timesplitters 2

xbox 360- of the 3 ive played perfect dark zero soon ill have more like fear etc etc

ps3- none at the moment having fun with better ps2 games on it

genesis- none

ps1- medal of honor 1

psp - never played a fps on it

ds all i got is goldeneye or metroid prime as for fps

gba- everything or nothing or duke nukem advance

goldeneye N64, Red Faction (first with destructible environments), Perfect Dark original, Halo (just for the scale of it, and a zoom-in pistol), Half-life and its spawns, CounterStrike), Gears of War(only played the first two weeks since launch mainly bc it was repetitive, but the chainsaw was great), Rainbow Six (all of them, just for the fact it had strategy mixed in), Doom, Quake, UT, and finally DUKE NUKEM N64.

Goldeneye 007 and RE 4gp19

 i dont know if RE4 counts as a shooter but it's my favorite game ever. I'm going to add COD2 to this guy's list. PERFECT game.
