What's the deal with Fable 2?

So I got it for Christmas and in fact it's an awesome game when you look at the gameplay, graphics etc. But suddenly after 10 minutes of gaming it freezes. Without being utterly frustrated by this, I reboot my console and try again. Again it happens. And again and again and again.

I think to myself: is this my xbox and by looking at it logically the answer is no. All my 7 other games haven't got any issues with freezing or anything. As confused as I am, I research a little on google and find out that this issue is actually pretty common, and loads of other blokes have experienced the excact same thing! Furthermore, some have even seen their 360 getting killed by Fable 2 (Red Ring of Death) and that the freezing could be some sort of warning!

So now I've decided to just trade it in for good and completely erase anything that has something to do with Fable 2 on my Xbox 360. My question for all of you out there then is: was this a good decision or is it just bogus?

IMO, one had nothing to do with the other. I've seen the exact same issue and the exact same forum topics for Forza 2, GoW and Halo 3 when they first came out.garnerr3

Is that with the freezing or the Red Ring of Death?

Mine froze on Fable 2. Then Oblivion, then Fallout 3. I exchanged my console because it was less than 1 year old. It isn't the game - it's probably your console. That being said, I highly recommend installing it to the hard drive. Saves loading time and may reduce the pain on your DVD.CodingGenius

I've played both Oblivion and Fallout 3 without any issues, that's what's so weird :s

So to sum up, you think I should exchange it at the place I bought it and get a new one?

Doesn't this mean all my save files from all my other games vanishing?
