i also chose portal - i'm probably going to play it in this order: Portal, Team Fortress 2, Episode 1, Episode 2... probably wont play half life 2 since i've already beat it

Episode 2 for sure. Episode 1 ended at a point where it just left me hanging. Feels like it's been agaes since it came out. Hopefully Episode 2 will have a "real" ending seeing as Valve has stated they are getting out of episodal content. One can hope

i strongly encourage anyone who hasn't played any of the Half-Life games to play through them in order. it's an amazing story driven first person experience.

team fortress looks awsome so ill play that first, then portal, then orange box (ive never pleayed half life)

Well according to the poll at this moment Half Life 2 is first with portal close behind HL2: Episode 2 and TF2 at third and HL2: Episode 1 in last place.

Though I expect to get it on Windows more likely (since I already have HL2 and Ep1 over Steam anyway, and free online), my answer still applies (to the game). I will likely be playing Episode Two first, as I am eagerly awaiting to see what will happen next in the Half Life storyline. After this, some time in portal, saving TF2 for "last but not least" :D

I thought the original plan was for one more post-HL2 episode so they can wrap up the story and move on to Half Life 3 or so.

Portal, since I've alraedy been playing Team Fortess 2. Oh, and to all you who are on the fence regarding orange box... please take my word for it that you will NOT be disappointed. Team Fortress 2 has about the same value as Shadowrun by itself. Along with HL2, ep1, ep2, and Portal, you get one hell of a deal and for some of you your first chance to play one of the best FPS experiences there has ever been. So buy it, for the love of Yoshi buy it and reap the benefits of one of the best deals in gaming eva!

Well I've already completed Half Life 2, but it's an amazing game, and I want to get the full experience instead of just skipping right to episode 1, so I'm gonna play them all in order.

I'm going to play portal first. I do have HL2 for PC, but I prefer getting a smooth FPS in order to play a puzzle game that seems as delicate and complex as portal looks to be. TF2, HL ep.1&2 are just bonuses as far as I'm concerned, I'll gadly pay 15 dollars more thn the PC version to get all of that.
