Whats up with my mic?

Okay so i was playing Oblivion talking to my friend as he was playing to and themic unplugged so i plugged it back it and it wouldn't work... so i kept plugging it in and out then it wouldnt work (I was watching the icon for it) so i shut it off turned it back on it wtill wouldn't work. All i could get was like half a word out cause it like turned on then shut right off again. The same thing happened when we were in halo!

Is there something wrong with my mic i got it for xmas in a HDD pack you think it is the mic or controler?

It might be completely broken...? don´t bother trying to fix it... you can go and buy one, they are really cheap and the come free in almost every xbox accesory...

If you cant fix it, try hiting it very hard it migh work too..XD
