no idea man, they're pretty pointless to me too. Achievements are supposed to give you a challenge over just completing the game, trying to make them secret is just plain stupid.

I heard you, i seen to enjoy ach. but i not one of those gamers that cares about his gamescore, i just like the idea that there is more to do in a game then just the story. ach, defenity increases the replay values of the games a lot.

Bioshock used them properly so you didn't figure out the story by looking at your achievement list. All of the secret ones were killing the characters in the story or doing something in the story.

Exactly! and it's not the dev. fault if the achievements are on the internet and you happen to look at them, they are doing the best to keep the storyline a secret, other than that, it's up to you not to look for them

Bioshock is fine, but other games like Hitman, COD 3, Forza 2, Splinter Cell Double Agent... had pretty pointless secret achievements that had nothing to do with the storyline. I do agree with you that Bioshock handled them well, but that is an exception to what I've seen so far.

Lost Planet really annoyed me with its secret achievements. When people compare games to me they see I have more achievements, but have no idea what I actually did.
