Whats wrong with my headset???

I JUST bought a wired headset today the one that comes with the premium and it makes static noise, i can hear it, other people can but when people talk it doesn't make it... why is it making static noise?

You must be playing next to something electrical, when my mobile/cell phone goes off it buzzes so it must be the interference.
