What's your prediction on GS score for Halo 5.

I bet the game should get a 9/10, but its gamespot, sony doesn't pay for X1 games to get 9/10.

It's Gamespot, so you always take a point or two off what you think it should be.

So I'd say it should be 9, but GS will score it an 8.

Oh and I won't be buying Halo 5, so no bias here.

All the main Halo FPS games got a 9/10 here at Gamespot.com (Possible 8/10 as 343 is no Bungie). The only exception was Halo MCC which was super buggy.

I think the loss of Split screen is a huge bummer, but that probably won't affect 343's GS review.

I'm more curious about how it's going to fair at metacritic as that's much, much harder to predict (so far 343 is an 80's metascoring developer but they have stated repeatedly they want to become a 90+ metascoring dev). I think 85/100 is where they will end up though.

Will Gamespot, or have, attended the launch party. If the gift bags were class, probably get 9.6. If the goods were rubbish, then a 8.0. An indi site with a copy would probably give a unbiased answer.

The beta was Ok, but I will wait until I actually play every mode thoroughly to make a judgement

Voted an 8 based on Forza 6 which is by far the best Forza getting an 8. Hell I wouldn't be surprised if GS gave Halo 5 a 7.

all of the other main Halo games got 9 or 9.5 from gamespot . but due to recent changes here at gamespot I just feel its going to be an 8 . I just feel nobody in gamespot is left that is a fan of Halo and knows much about Halo universe . also we're in play station dominating era so I say it will get an 8 or even 7 .
which seriously doesn't matter at all . fans will enjoy the game and thats enough .

@kingcrimson24: Yeah I seriously doubt it will get a 9 here, the review staff now is completely different. I'm thinking if Chris reviews it he might score it a 9, I think that's what he gave TitanFall if I remember correctly. This is one of those games though that reviews are basically completely useless for me, I mean I very much enjoyed Halo 4 and from everything I've seen about Halo5, and the beta I've played, I know I'll greatly enjoy it.

Nevertheless, it will be fun seeing the reviews. Less than 2 weeks to go now :)

I think this site will give it a AA score but it is will be in the 90s on metacritic.

Don't know what GS will give it but I'm predicting it'll metacritic in the 80s. I'm also predicting it'll be as fun as games that average in the 90s but critics are highly unlikely to give it scores like that cuz of the been-there, done-that thing.

@Wickerman777: Also you have some other factors to consider, for instance Forge mode has been rebuilt from the ground up for Halo 5, but it is coming out a little later in December, so obviously this amazing looking level editor will not be factored into most reviews.
