When do you expect the Xbox 360 premium to be $299.99 or less?

I've been thinking that when I have the money, I might buy an Xbox 360 later this year if Banjo Kazooie 3 turns out to be great (it seems that this game is set for a late 2008 release). Also, I'd much prefer the premium package to be cheaper than its current $350 price. So, when do you think that MicroSoft will drop the price to $300? I expect it sometime this year because of the competition of Wii and the PS3 is getting some big games like MGS 4 and Killzone 2.

I think Microsoft said they will be dropping the price $50 on an annual basis. So I guess it will be $299 ( probably Q3 2008 ) and the Arcade Version will be only $229.nVidiaGaMer

Cool. I want an Xbox 360 for games like Banjo Kazooie 3, Medal of Honor: Airborne, and Call of Duty 2. I just don't know if I'd jump right into Xbox Live.

I really like how Sony offers free on-line play, though I still don't know if I want to invest in a PS3 anytime soon yet. The games just aren't quite there for me yet.

A new console comes out every 5-7 years so. Lets say 2010-2011 a new XBOX will come out and the price out the 360 will probably be $129-$179 for a premium and the low end model (if they even make one) will probably be $100.
