When do you purchase your games?

I like to get my games on their release date not to be able to say oh I got it first but to have time to put into that game. Some people wait and buy 2 or more games at once but I feel like I can't get into all the games cause one will take up all my time.

I just wanted to post this cause me and a friend of my where arguing about this.

I wait until most games are sub £20. Occasionally, I'll purchase on release with certain games I've waited a long time for and know I'll play and keep in my collection as favourites such as Halo 3.

Otherwise, there's no way I can justify spending £40 a time.
