Sounds like you have no future with that plan.
Any why would you still be making 360 games in like 8 years?
i mean i will make games for the xbox of that time.....and i know i can make games that gamers like you will like....like one of my ideas is destroy all marsians a prequel to destroy all humans 1
turokdude
I wouldn't like that at all..
you can try and dont worry about wat other plp will like then ul just fail worry about wat makes game fun and playable

I'm 15 and finishing school in 3 years. After that im thinking of going to a game design school.
But i think your ideas aren't very clear to me cars with guns and revenge and stuff. You mean l;ike cars with guns attached to them (like in the movie Death Race) that could be awesome but how would you implementing that in a GTA IV kind of game.
I mean you need to work out your ideas for games a bit more like, how do i keep it interesting gameplay wise, how does the storyline evolve, what is the ultimate goal and what kind of graphic style is going to be used etc etc etc.
What you'll want to do soon is buy an Xbox 360 developers kit. It will allow you to write code in XNA, Microsoft's Xbox 360 Arcade game code library. The actual language you use is C#. You will need a really good PC first of all, because you write the games on the PC then try them out on the 360. Develop a good Indie/Community game, and with more money you can make a good Arcade game. That will get you noticed by the big development houses. I'm a software developer myself--but unfortunately I don't get to work on games. Here's an idea: Make a top down game kind of like GTA (the old GTAs were top down). Do something unique so that it's not a clone of GTA. Make it a community game and see what kind of response you get from it. Be warned--development is hard HARD work. Don't expect to have any kind of social life while your doing it...catrocr
Yeah this is the way to go.
Also, i myself have been looking into this, have you had any experience with it?
you can't make rip offs or prequels to a game unless you get the right to that game.
the companies will sue your butt off.
to earn the money to buy a building and hire the empolies and make the video games i plan to be a big rig driver

Use that as your inspiration for your first game.
It would be best if you go to college and get at least a 4-year Bachelors in Computer Science. That way, you might get a software development job that may not be game making at first but will give you the time and money to do it in your spare time. Driving a truck for a living doesn't give you a lot of home time, which is what you'll need to develop games.to earn the money to buy a building and hire the empolies and make the video games i plan to be a big rig driver

You're the one who wants to be a developer, think of some yourself. Also all of you're ideas are just ripping off of other games, you need to be creative.do you have any suggjestions on what games to make?

Yes, please make a game about your life. You could call it "Turokdude - Reaching for the Rainbow". Also add some guns and chicks with huge breasts. I will buy it.bwahahato earn the money to buy a building and hire the empolies and make the video games i plan to be a big rig driver

I'm almost 19 and I have.....no interest in making games at all.Not everybody starts at the top. Get a degree in gaming design, get a job at a game company, make a name for yourself and maybe get some backing to venture out on your own. It can be done but it may take longer than you expect.
Yes exactly. It's a super competitive industry now. Everybody and their little brother wants to get into game design. You have to really stand out. Get into programming and maybe try to program your own indie game. Even start small...Get the iPhone SDK and try to develop some stupid, quirky, addictive little apps that people might like. IMO, if you want to actually try make money on your own outside of getting a job at a gaming company, you could try this. Not everybody starts at the top.
