Hi. As the topic title says, when installing games, is it normal for the DVD drive to slow down at times in the installation? Or is my drive having trouble reading the disc? Thanks.

I generally leave the room when I install a game, but if memory serves me correctly it does slow down from time to time and that could be from dust or scratches on the disc. I wouldn't really worry about it. Perhaps if it slows down to the extent of actually playing a game that isn't installed, when the drive is reading constantly then it might be an issue, but if so, it's kind of out of your control.
