The reason I ask is cause the new console came out with problems, just like any new console, with that being said the new gen console means all the past issues will be fixed. Even though its being fixed as we speak and looking better than ever, its still a concern of mine

those faulty drive gears? EASILY replaced without ever changing the design of the system

They came with the usual 1% failure rate. That is common to almost any electronic device.
