These days if i wont my online fix i play halo 3 or call of duty 4

To great games but i have to admit after hours of gameplay clocked up on these games i cont help but feel like both games are getting alittle old....i'm bord now of these games and wont something new something that takes people away from these 2 top games and gets them playing something else.

As alot of you guys know tomorrow see's the release of battle field bad company and then next friday unreal 3, Two fantastic games that i hope are popular and go up the ranks of most played games on live :)

What do you think will be the next big thing on xbox live or will COD4 and halo3 hold there spot for months to come?

I'd like to see more of other online gametypes... action games you can play with two people, co-op RPG's...

I don't seen much games in the near future becoming as big as when GoW, Halo or CoD came out.

But the next big one to do it would be Gears 2.

When Gears of War 2 comes out Xbox Live will be flooded with Gears players and I see a huge fall in Halo 3 and Call of Duty 4 players. That is a good thing though because Gears 2 will be a great game. However, I still see Halo 3 maintaining very high numbers because the game has a dedicated fan base. All in all, all 3 games, including the current Gears of War, are great games regardless. The fact that all 3 are played so heavily shows how they have stood the test of time. That, to me, is the sign of a good game.

I really hope that the new unreal 3 and battlefield bad company does well they both must have a huge fan base for online play :)

But like you guys said i do think there next super online game will be gears of war 2, Its a shame though that people dont play more of a mix of online game's because an online game is only as good as the amount of players playing it

If a new game come's out with only an avarage muliplayer then chance's are a month after its release you'll be struggleing to find a game....

I fully agree. However, with regards to Unreal Tournament 3, with how it did on the PS3 (mediocre), I doubt that it will shift many units. Battlefield: Bad Company will get boring quick as it only has 1 game mode (however EA have stated they will release another game mode via marketplace). I think Halo 3, COD4 and GoW are 3 great games and as a gamer I am happy with the current selection. Yes it would be nice for more games to be rivalling the 3 mentioned but we must realise that those games are gems and are above what we would associate as 'average'. Also, alot of the up and coming titles on the Xbox are more single player based or co-op online with no multiplayer: Fable 2 and Too Human for instance. So it looks as if Gears of War 2 is the major multiplayer game that is coming out this year and this will obviously have a say over what other games people are playing online.

Unfortunatly most 360 gamers arent into that. But Sacred 2 is going to be an amazing online RPG for some 360 gamers. And if Fable 2's offline co-op also goes online (which isnt 100% confirmed) then action RPG fans have two great games comming in the end of 2008.

Your wise gamers my friends and i totatly agree with what you say

Still say its a shame that there arnt more popular games to chose from, I love COD4 but hate that most of the maps are based in the middle east i hate them kind of maps (I understand that the maps are going off the single player game) but still i hate middle east maps and it really ruined cod4 for me. Halo3 has some cool maps but i still feel like i'm playing the same thing over and over....(sigh)

I think a good idea would be if there was an option on the dashbord were you could see how many gamers were playing what online, To be able to click a game you fancy playing and it telling you how many players are playing would help you pick whats worth buying for online play and whats worth playing :)

what do you guys thnk?
