I wouldn't risk that much money, 10K points is NOT cheap. You're better off buying one from a retailer. If you get scammed somehow, you'll pay for it twice you know.
Also, 25 dollars is too good to be true honestly :D. 10k points would be at least 100 dollars in stores, I wouldn't risk it.
I buy points off these lads.
If you've got PayPal/credit card thenI can't recommend them more.
They're incredibly cheap, and you'll recieve the code for MS points/XBL gold etc via email less then TEN minutes after placing the order.
I seriously can't believe they're not talked about more on Gamespot.
My guess is they are either computer generated points or bought off a stolen credit card. But nothing like this will be legit, and could have consequences at some point.
You can sometimes get a few dollars off of a points card, but that is the best deal you are going to get.

Well obviously I've never bought any US cards but they do have seperate points labelled US so yes, I assume theycan be used for US accounts.
Still bitter about all the tea i suppose.Yeah , they seem fairly pricey for Yanks for some reason...

You're conversion is right, British Pounds are worth more than American Dollars, that's why it seems expensive.

The problem with this is the currency conversion. If he live in the US, he would be paying double of what the points are actually worth.
Those preloaded accounts use stolen credit cards. They are illegal and buying one is a huge risk.

I would like to see some proof behind that statement. An even number like 10,000 requires multiple purchases. By buying several items, they raise a flag at the credit card company especially when the owner finds out. From then, the IP address could be calculated where the points were bought from. Too risky for them to do that. Much easier to hack. Besides that, the proof of them hacking is that the points disappear withing the first 24 hours. This is because the network updates within that time period. You can look it up on eBay.

It just heard that somewhere from a modding site that would know more about it. Xbox live is a closed system meaning you can't hack points on to accounts, period. They buy them with stolen information, try to sell it quickly to someone before it's flagged and the account becomes frozen.Either way, IT IS ILLEGAL.

Just like the PS3 couldn't be hacked? There is always a way.
I buy all my MS points at Best Buy.
There not discounted, but I get the points on my Rewards Card.

I do the same thing, and in turn feel like an old man for it.

Actually, I think it is fraud as well. I don't know for sure, but if I had to guess I would say they use phishing scams to get account info, and get lucky every once in a while with an account that has a credit card attached to it.
They are indeed cheaper than here, I'm gonna give them a try thanks!I buy points off these lads.

That offer IS legitimate, but it isn't a regular code with points: they send you the information of an account that has 10k MSP on it, you download the account and buy the games with Microsoft Points. I wouldn't buy from them, though: you won't be tying your MSP to your true gamertag, and those Microsoft Points apparently have an expiration date of a week.

You don't get it. Adding points to a profile is server side. No amount of console hacking will magicly add points. Please Log In to post.
